‘Horseplay Sanctuary has two key mandates, a therapeutic riding program for
children and adults with special needs (these include physical disabilities like
MS, Cerebral Palsy, spinal cord injuries, and cognitive ones like Autism), and a
rescue for horses at risk of slaughter, neglect or abuse. We also run programs
for women and youth at risk (eg. women escaping abusive relationships, kids at
risk of substance abuse, dropping out of school etc.). ‘
